Whenever I look back on my previous work, I hope to see myself developing as an Artist. I want to constantly improve my working process and not stagnate. Through experimentation of techniques, papers, and textures my work continues to evolve. I started using a Gelli plate and now produce my own patterned papers. I use beach finds like sea weed, old ropes and pieces of found netting as fodder for printing. These all create relevant printed effects for the seascapes I am currently working on. Sometimes I just work on Abstract designs for the sheer enjoyment of placing pieces/colours together in a pleasing arrangement. I find this helps release creative energy in my next piece.
