About

As from 2022, we now reside on the Wirral, but we used to live in North Wales. Though the Welsh landscape has long been my creative inspiration, I feel there is another landscape waiting to be discovered here. New horizons await.

I still have a studio in the garden, where I play around with tried and tested techniques, and experiment with new ones, just to see what happens when…

Here, in my Happy place, I print up my Collage papers. I use a Gelli plate and constantly search for unusual materials that will create a textured surface.

All my papers are collated in different colour ways and boxed ready to use in my work.

My Working Process

I am most definitely a Collage Artist. I love Paper, in fact I've become a bit of a hoarder! I keep old envelopes, sewing patterns, wrappings, tissue, packing paper etc because each has a different quality, thickness. I try to create my own pattern, using various printing methods. So for that I search for makeshift stencils to create texture. Netting found on a beach, bubble wrap, packaging, wallpapers all find their way into my collection. The textures are printed onto various papers using acrylics. Some are recognisable, other patterns appear more organic. I hope each piece adds interest and intrigue in my work.
